As a collector of pinned insects, I often thought of what fairy specimens might look like... This relief tile is hand pressed in stoneware and glazed to emphasize its sculptural dimension. Tile measures roughly 3 and 3/4 inches high by 3 and 3/4 inches wide and is about 5/8 of an inch thick at the edges. It is notched on the back so it can hang on a nail.
