Mid-Century Modern ruby red art glass from the historic Swedish glassworks Johansfors Glasbruk. Founded in 1891 in the "Kingdom of Crystal" region of Småland, Sweden The 1950s and 1960s, defined by clean lines and vibrant, rich colours. Highly collectible pieces from this glassworks were often designed by legendary artists such as Bengt Orup. The foil sticker remaining on the clear foot is a classic vintage factory label used to signify its Swedish origin. Deep ruby red glass cased over or transitioning into a clear glass stem and base.
