Mid century Italian majolica sgraffitto pitcher with a bird handle, bright color

£115.17

I'm trying to trim my Italian pottery collection down to just pieces I know are Aldo Londi, so this one gets to go. Maybe just over 8.25 inches tall, it's a pottery pitcher decorated with the bright colors of the Italian hand painted pottery of the era. This would be 1940s-50s I think. This one has some interesting things that drew me to it. You don't see the bird shaped handle that often so that is pretty cool. Also this was done in a sgraffitto way with the lines incised all around it (the handle doesn't have any). It has non-incised marks on the bottom. Condition is generally pretty good for it's age, there are a few faults with some paint flaking in one spot on the bottom rim, and also a couple spots on the bird.
