Michael Cardew @ Wenford Bridge small blue & white tin glazed lidded pot 6 cm tall #2985 This pot is stamped with the impressed personal mark for Michael Cardew but no pottery mark. Personally I believe the colour of the decoration and the colour of the clay indicate it was made by Cardew at Wenford Bridge c. 1940. The pot stands 6 cm in height and has a rim diameter of 7.5 cm. It does have glaze bubbling and glaze chips which could be related given where some of them are found and the pot appears to be structurally sound. All that said it is a piece by Michael Cardew. Stands 12 cm in height and 10 cm diameter around its midriff.
