It was first modeled Erich Hösel in 1935 and is made of Boettger Steinzeug ( stoneware ) which was the precursor to their porcelain and is rock hard. The piece is in perfect condition. The piece is marked underneath with the impressed crossed swords mark as well as Böttger Steinzeug N.240 and another impressed number as shown.
