Extremely rare Mari Simmulson large dish, one of the five pieces she made in this Salix range only between 1953 and 1956 for Upsala Ekeby, Sweden. There were three vases, plus one smaller and one larger dish as far as I know, I've not seen any other shape. It's in fine undamaged condition with no chips or irregularities that I can see. Yellow and white spots with gloss finish on the dark brown matte background, it measures 213mm x 297mm and around 4.5 cms deep. Dark brown semi-gloss underside, marked UE and Mari S, object number 4115. I also have the smaller dish in this.
