Decorative porcelain or ceramic basket planter featuring a 2 birds perched on a branch handle, in a majolica style. Design: Hand-painted ceramic with a wicker-effect blue basket base and a rustic branch handle. Dimensions 9” diameter, 6.5” height. Opening is 5” across x 2” deep. Incised on the bottom, “Made in Japan” "Made in Japan," often found on mid-20th-century items such as trinket dishes, ashtrays, or figurines,’likely manufactured between the 1930s and 1960s. General backstamp used for export pottery Excellent preowned condition with no chips or cracks. It was used as a succulent planter.
