This precious piece has the markings (as I make them out, 7713 and H S in script). An art appraiser says it was made in Germany early-1900s and is majolica. Design looks to be art nouveau. Leaves that form the handle are lovely, going from kelly to pink, both colors prevalent in majolica, as are small whimsical baskets.
