For sal e is this delightful Italian Faience ceramic box. It is signed on the underside in paint, Maffei, Pesaro (which is a town on the Adriatic coast of Italy). The box is hand painted and depicts a Renaissance lady on the lid painted in chiaroscuro (black and white tints) on a dark navy blue ground.
