Five vintage 1960s ceramic souvenir tiles hand-painted in Delft by two makers. All are in full color, feature windmills in different aspects, show some light crazing to the glass-like top glaze from the firing process, and have hangers affixed to the backs. Remarkably crisp detail is seen up close. The largest 3" square and two of the smaller 2" square tiles are impressed with a "VLs" Delft Holland (Velsen Sassenheim) stamp, the blanks having been sourced from England. The other two 2" square tiles carry a "Handpainted Made in Holland" stamp with an NKI crown Delft hallmark for Netherlands Ceramic Industry.
