Highly original Laurance Simon handbuilt ceramic shallow bowl.Laurance has work in the V&A collection of British Studio Ceramics. She is a very collectible studio ceramicist . The bowl is decorated with coloured slips and incised scraffito decoration. It has a clear shiny glaze on the upper surface and the base is unglazed white ceramic. The image depicts a bird catching a bee or wasp. Laurance sells work at various galleries in the UK and Europe including Contemporary Applied Arts, London.
