Description
In immaculate condition, here is a beautiful hand-painted, large blue and white faience jar. Manufactured in Coimbra, Portugal, a centre of faience production since the 15th century and where it continues to be made today. This lidded vase is of recent manufacture and was probably bought in the late 20th century. It stands at an imposing 48cm, and is entirely hand-painted, very skillfully, with floral panels and a landscape scene with figures, buildings, a lake and windmill. Very much in the style of Dutch Delft. It has no chips, cracks or hairlines and is in excellent condition. Please study the photographs which form part of the description. A very attractive, timeless and decorative piece. Thank you for looking and please see my other items.
