A rare stunning and unique John Maltby (1936-2020) studio art pottery sculpture named “The Figures and a Tree” Very sought after and in immaculate original condition. John Maltby was a distinguished English sculptor and studio potter. He was apprenticed to David Leach for two years before setting up his own pottery near Crediton in Devon. After surgery in 1996 left him too weak to make pots, Maltby began to create small ceramic sculptures. The sculpture weighs around 1.5 kg. 25.5 cm high 17.5 cm wide 16.1 cm deep
