The sun peeks through the kitchen window onto a fresh half of plated grapefruit, near a tall glass of juice. A tribute to a versatile piece of citrus! Part of my breakfast series. The high-relief tile is hand pressed in stoneware and glazed to emphasize its sculptural dimension. Tile measures roughly 4 by 4 inches and about 5/8 of an inch thick at the edges and an inch thick at its deepest point. It is notched on the back so it can hang on a nail.
