Based in the West Country of England, she has combined a practice in domestic pottery with academic research in animation and ecological sustainability. Career and Education Early Career: After earning her degree in 1978, Bliss set up a business as a domestic potter, working primarily in porcelain. Education & Evolution: In 1994, she returned to education for an MA at Cardiff, where her focus shifted from functional ware to sculptural figures, particularly anthropomorphic characters.
