The base is engraved "ACC, Style 8802, FM Konstglas, Sweden". It has a label on the bottom with the words "Laura 12/2000" handwritten. The original labels are on the side of the paperweight. During the creation of the piece, the glass is exposed to smoke, giving the glass a smoky colour.
