Rare early design Ecuador Artesa polychrome - hand painted (Delft style) tin-glazed pottery pot / box and covered lid - in the form of a dove perched on moulded plinth - painted decoration of stylized houses landscape blue band. Condition: a minor glaze nibble to the beak; small chips to lid and a factory klin fault crack to the pot inner rim (where the lid rests) - see photos; otherwise, all in very good condition - no other chips, cracks, hairlines. Size: 19cm high up the the head; 10.5cm base diameter and 22cm wide from beak to tail.
