This is a toothpick holder with an interesting souvenir etching. This is a clear glass ruby-stained Zipper Slash toothpick holder made by Duncan & Miller Glass of Washington PA in 1894. The entire upper portion of the toothpick is ruby stained and the lower portion and footed base are crystal clear glass. The etching is Pitts. Expo 1902. There was an Exposition Park in Pgh. that held an expo in 1902. This was also a venue for trade shows, circuses and baseball games. The Pirates, ( bless their hearts), played here during this time and actually won the league championship that year...1902. The etching is very nice. The ruby stain overall is very good with some little scratch marks. It is 2 1/4" h and 2" w. No chips or cracks.
