This Duncan and Sons Co ( 1874- 1892) glass miniature top hat features the pressed glass “daisy and button” pattern which they introduced in America. It is an excellent example of early American pressed glass (EAPG). Please note the seams and the daisy centered on the bottom of the piece which identifies this as a Duncan and Sons item predating Fenton glass. The height of the “hat” is slightly more than 2 1/4 inches. The overall condition of this glass art piece is used-mint/like-new as it shows no visible cracking, blemishes, chips, or age-expected wear.
