Unusual Mid-Century Cubist or Modernist style ceramic art tile with Socialist theme by Belgian artist and sculptor Rene Boschmans. Three men dance to an accordion by a brick wall. Impressed with the artist’s name under the glaze on the side. By Faïancerie Cocéram, which was in operation from 1947 to 1960. Measures 10.5” W x 10.5” H x 1” D. In good condition. No cracks or wear. There is a small chip on the back, about 1/4” in diameter. There are some tiny gaps in the glaze on the sides, but these are not chips. See images for details.
