A hand-thrown stoneware bowl by Canterbury Pottery, incised to the base with the maker’s name and potter’s mark “VML” (or similar). The interior features a striking multi-layered glaze in deep cobalt blue, teal green and sandy brown tones with a natural ash-glaze effect. The exterior has a pale cream to sandy speckled glaze with subtle drip detail. A lovely piece of British studio pottery with good weight and quality.
