Caithness Glass "Flutter By" floral paperweight, designed by William Manson in 1986 for their traditional range. The weight depicts two large and brightly coloured flowers in blue and yellow, surrounded by delicate green frondy foliage with a small and realistic brown butterfly perched on the petals of the blue flower. The weight measures 7.6 cm diameter and stands 5.4 cm high; it has a top and six side facets which facilitate viewing of the design. On its flat and polished base it is hand engraved: Caithness, Flutter By, Scotland and its limited edition number 48/250. This weight is in very good condition.
