A vintage glass bottle in transparent green glass with blue stopper and a blue base fused in incalmo technique. Designed by Gio Ponti and manufactured by Venini Murano Venice ca. 1950s. Venini model number 4491. The name of this design is 'Morandiana V'. Paper lable and acid etched signature 'venini murano ITALIA' on the base. Good condition, inside with slight deposit. Gio Ponti (1891 - 1979) enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1914. His studies were interrupted by the war, and after graduating in 1921, Ponti founded an architectural practice. During this time, Ponti joined the neoclassical Novecento movement and campaigned for a revival of art and culture. In 1928, Ponti founded Domus.
