Colorful IRIS FLOWER majolica tile, old antique European. Art Nouveau Tile made in Belgium by Faïenceries des Pavillons, Florennes C1900-1910. Definitely a beauty of a tile, featuring an iris flower on colorful ground in the style of art nouveau or art deco. Embossed majolica by Faïenceries des Pavillons, Florennes and measures 6" x 6" c1910 and weighty at 14 oz (nearly pound!) on my scale. Some glazed surface crazing due to age, and some very small fleabites to beige clay sides.
