A Staffordshire flatback earthenware figurine from the mid 19th century titled ‘SAND’. This woman street seller and her beast of burden were originally one of a pair. The other was called ‘Beesums’, a male street seller and his donkey. There is some craquelure, wear to to the paint in places and firing cracks which are common in these pieces, but no chips, cracks or restoration.
