The item is a Northwood "Strawberry" Amethyst Carnival Glass Bowl with a pie-crust edge. Made by the Northwood Glass Company between 1908 and 1925. Carnival glass is pressed or molded glass with an iridescent surface. The base glass can be various colors such as marigold, blue, amethyst, or green. The "Strawberry" pattern features strawberries and leaves. The pie-crust edge is a ruffled, crimped edge resembling a pie crust. Amethyst is the base color, with a reddish or fiery . Could be 10 different colors depending on the lighting. The ball is in an excellent condition. The edges are smooth. No chips no cracks. There is a scratch or defect inside the bowl. The bowl is 7". Crimpled edge
