Beautiful antique Japanese Taisho/Showa period Korikoppu style hand blown art glass vase. It features a stunning opalescent white striped body and delicately hand applied blue glass vine wrapped around the exterior, set on a dark obsidian colored base. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or flea bites on the delicate applied elements or rim. There is an authentic glassmaker's tool indentation on the blue vine where it was crimped during production, as well as a few minor embedded carbon/ash kiln specs within the glass matrix.
