This spongeware plate is in good condition apart from a small nibble to the edge which I have shown in the photograph. It is impressed England and there appears to be a very in distinct makers mark to the edge which I am unable to read. Diameter is 10 inches. Unusually, there is a gilded edge and also a fine line of gilding. Classic sponge decoration of flowers and leaves.
