Antique Holmes & Son rose bowl (flower frog), made in Longton, Staffordshire, England. Marked H & S L and Oriental to the base. Holmes & Son operated at the Clayton Pottery, Longton, between approximately 1899 and 1904, dating this piece to around the turn of the 20th century. Beautifully decorated with floral motifs and gilt detailing, complete with its original pierced flower-arranging insert. Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its age, including minor wear to the gilt decoration. No chips, cracks or repairs found.
