Antique Grafton China Jug Wilmslow Crest for job Arden violin maker???

£29.82

Such an interesting little jug. This was made for J Arden’s Exors Wilmslow. The pottery mark says Grafton China ABJ and Sons England and dates it to 1900 to 1913. It is possible that this was made in regards to the death of job Arden who died in 1912. It was likely commissioned by the executors of his will in commemoration of his life. Interesting stuff . Job Ardens violins are steadily increasing in price. Do you own one of these violins and would like this little jug or was he your relative either way a very interesting item deserving of further research. 1.25 inches tall and in fantastic condition with no chips or cracks or even crazing.
