A superb example of Royal Worcester craftsmanship from the late 19th century, this blush ivory jug features a striking dragon-shaped handle and finely painted botanical decoration. The artwork is beautifully complemented by subtle shading on the blush ivory ground and enriched with gilded highlights. Marked with the printed Royal Worcester factory stamp, shape number 1048, and the date code for 1887. Shows no signs of chipping, minimal rub on the gilding. Would benefit from a clean.
