These are two Royal Crown Derby ceramic paperweights. Each has a backstamp on the base, together with a date MMXIII (2013) and a decorator's mark. Each paper weight is in the form of a sleeping duck, in beautiful white glazed porcelain with black motifs - a butterfly on one side and a stylised floral spray on the other. Neither have stoppers. These two were given, one each, to my children by a family friend, but neither wanted them and left them with me. They have been in storage for over a decade and are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. One duck has two tiny paint marks under the glaze on its back, but these are manufacturing anomalies and not subsequent damage. Please see photos. Each measures approx 4.5" x 2.75" x 2.75".
