This listing is for an antique German Dresden porcelain handled amphora urn with women's heads on the handles. It measures 15 1/4 inches high and is 8 inches at its widest. The urn features a tall round base adorned with applied flowers; the body is round with a two curving handles that start on the shoulders of the urn and connect to the sides of the neck. The handles each have a bust of a woman with long brown hair and floral dresses. The front of the urn has a hand painted scene with a young couple finding a sleeping Cupid. Around the hand painted scene is a border of raised applied flowers. The back of the urn has a large floral bouquet of flowers with a cartouche of applied flowers around it as well. The urn is further enhanced with heavy applied gold highlights.
