This is an adorable vintage kitsch mid-century ceramic puppy dog planter, by Shawnee Pottery…1950s and 1960s. It features a high-gloss brown glaze, large expressive eyes, rosy cheeks, and a light blue bow tie molded into the front. The hollow back portion of the puppy serves as a small cachepot or planter for succulents and small house plants. Great overall condition with no chips/cracks. There is a “bubble/pock” on top his head that occurred during manufacturing as well as some light glaze marks around the opening. Little to no glazing.
